OpenAI and ServiceNow Deepen Partnership: AI Agents Set to Transform Enterprise Workflows

OpenAI and ServiceNow are significantly expanding their partnership, embedding OpenAI models and agents across ServiceNow products while linking ServiceNow workflows with ChatGPT and Codex. The collaboration is designed to help enterprises build applications, resolve IT requests, and tackle security challenges more effectively with AI.

The expansion builds on the partnership the two companies announced in January, bringing OpenAI's technology into more of ServiceNow's customer-facing work and its own internal operations.

ServiceNow Comes to ChatGPT

A new ServiceNow integration will bring business context and workflow actions directly into ChatGPT, allowing teams to investigate issues and take the next step without switching tools. An IT team member, for instance, can locate similar incidents, evaluate the risk of a change, and update a ServiceNow record—all within ChatGPT.

Customers connect ChatGPT to their own ServiceNow instance and select which capabilities to enable. ServiceNow's Action Fabric enforces existing business rules and permissions, so the actions users can take align with their organization's configuration and access policies.

ServiceNow is also previewing interactive experiences inside ChatGPT. In one scenario, an on-call engineer can review linked monitoring alerts, recent changes, and affected services, then assign the right team and drive toward a fix within ChatGPT itself.

Expanding OpenAI Across ServiceNow Products

The companies plan to develop new capabilities in three areas:
Application development: A planned Codex integration in ServiceNow's AI Workflow Factory will help developers build applications leveraging ServiceNow's business context and platform capabilities. OpenAI models will also power Build Agent and Autonomous Engineer to support application development and modernization.

Cybersecurity: A joint security solution will pair OpenAI's cybersecurity capabilities with ServiceNow's asset, identity, and business context, helping teams investigate vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation.
Voice: An OpenAI-powered experience in ServiceNow's Super Intelligence Control Tower will allow users to describe an AI use case aloud, helping populate assessment fields and gather missing information through follow-up questions.

ChatGPT Work and Codex for Every ServiceNow Employee

ServiceNow plans to extend access to ChatGPT Work and Codex to all employees, moving beyond its engineering organization. Engineers can use Codex to explore codebases, make changes, and run tests, while business teams can apply ChatGPT Work to their daily tasks. ServiceNow also intends to use OpenAI capabilities in its internal security efforts, while OpenAI is already using ServiceNow workflows in its own operations, supported by the Super Intelligence Control Tower.

Availability

The ServiceNow MCP plugin is available in the OpenAI marketplace today, with enhanced capabilities expected by the end of 2026. Voice capabilities in the Super Intelligence Control Tower are expected in the first quarter of 2027. The OpenAI-powered security capabilities are expected to enter early access in January 2027, with general availability planned for the second quarter of 2027. Codex in AI Workflow Factory is expected to be available in 2027.

A Growing Ecosystem for AI Adoption

The expanding OpenAI–ServiceNow partnership reflects a wider shift toward AI that is woven into enterprise workflows rather than confined to standalone chat interfaces. As adoption accelerates, interest in accessible ways to explore these tools continues to rise. Many users turn to platforms like z2u.com to find Buy OpenAI GPT-3 Access options or a Cheap ChatGPT Plus Account for hands-on experimentation. For developers and teams working with earlier models, GPT-3 Accounts available through z2u.com can provide a practical way to test and build with AI technology.

With new integrations rolling out through 2026 and 2027, OpenAI and ServiceNow are positioning AI as a core layer of enterprise operations—spanning IT service management, application development, and cybersecurity.
